- Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by to visit today. My name is Elaine Hays and I've been painting professionally for over twenty five years. Watercolor is my favorite medium and the one I work in the most, but I also paint in acrylics. So you'll find artworks in both mediums shown here. My favorite subject is landscapes and I love to paint nostalgic scenes of rural America. I love the smell of lily of the valley. Brings back childhood memories.
